A lot has happened in 2023 in the area of innovation at Enactus RUB. The year began with the first meetings of a new innovation group, with the aim of developing a solution in the form of an Enactus project based on a problem. Through numerous workshops and discussions over the course of the year, it was possible to get to the bottom of the problem and develop a solution. The group developed the solution of a toilet for phosphorus recovery as a solution to the problem of phosphorus as a critical raw material, which has to be imported to a large extent at the expense of people and the environment. The group's practical experience has improved the innovation process at Enactus, enabling us to launch a new group in the new year. Another highlight in 2023 was the "Inno Pitch Evening" in August, where the innovation groups were able to pitch their idea in front of a jury and the association. This provided the groups with valuable feedback and impetus for the further development of their idea and business model. The team also successfully pitched the business model for phosphorus recycling to the Advisory Board in January and was again able to gather valuable feedback. The task now is to make the project more concrete with prototyping and further workshops with Start4Chem and feedback.
